Le Mans will host the fifth round of the 2024 MotoGP World Championship, and it will do so at the dawn of the communiqué that outlined the new MotoGP regulations in effect from 2027. According to our Carletto Pernat, there may be real interest from new Manufacturers to enter the championship, primarily BMW and perhaps Kawasaki. But the topic that continues to hold sway, however, concerns a topic related to 2025, namely a rider market that has yet to take shape.
Everyone is waiting for the move by Ducati, which will have to choose a teammate to flank Pecco Bagnaia next season, and by now even the walls know that the names of the three candidates are those of Marc Marquez, Jorge Martìn and Enea Bastianini. A very difficult choice for Gigi Dall'Igna, who in any case will have to let go of one or even two very fast riders and capable of competing without a doubt for the title on rival bikes.
But the market is not just about riders, as Yamaha continues in its urgent search for a satellite team for 2025 to which to entrust the M1s, with Pramac's Paolo Campinoti having already confirmed that he wants to wait until the last useful moment, that is, the end of July, before deciding whether to exercise the option in his favor to remain with Ducati or embrace this new challenge.
